Just Allergies?

It's time to take allergies seriously.

You've seen the memes. "It's just allergies" has become the running excuse for a plethora of symptoms usually caused by viruses, hangovers, or other non-allergy related reasons. But the truth is that allergies, and their symptoms, can be debilitating. And for children in particular, allergies can follow a progression of worsening symptoms and the development of chronic issues such as asthma and eczema, often referred to as the "allergic march."

Even if you're not a child, why would you not take allergies seriously? What used to be distinct allergy seasons of spring and fall have become one long season of suffering. According a January 2023 report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 1 in 3 U.S. adults and more than 1 in 4 U.S. children reported having a seasonal allergy, eczema, or food allergy.
