Dr. Turkessa Walker completed her medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. She fulfilled her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Walker also served as assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. She completed her fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Walker is board certified in allergy and immunology as well as pediatric medicine. She is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, where she serves as a section member on both the food allergy, anaphylaxis, dermatology, and drug allergy interest committee and the immunotherapy, rhinitis, sinusitis, ocular disease, and cough interest committee.
Before joining The Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center, Dr. Walker was staff physician within the allergy and immunology division of Nemours Children’s Specialty Care in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Walker is a native of Georgia and is glad to return home with her husband and young son.
