What is a MiniCAT?

To provide the best quality care for our patients, The Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center now has a MiniCAT™ instant CT scanner that allows better sinus evaluation with less radiation, less time and no "tunnels." We are proud of this new technology, which should give you, the patient, better care.

The scan takes only 40 seconds (20 seconds for children) and has a significantly lower radiation dose than full-body scanners. With MiniCAT™, the physician and patient can sit together immediately after the scan and review the images. The physician can explain what the images mean, make a diagnosis, develop a treatment plan, and explain it to the patient right away.
