Dr. Karthik R. Krishnan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He earned his medical degree, completed his residency in pediatrics and served on the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He then completed a fellowship in allergy-immunology at the Medical College of Georgia. He is board certified in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Krishnan is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is President of the Tennessee Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
He was the recipient of the Clemens von Pirquet award for outstanding achievement in research during his fellowship. He co-authored the chapter entitled “Allergy and the Allergic Diseases” in the Textbook of Clinical Pediatrics (2nd edition).
He enjoys running and hiking and is an avid sports fan.
