Turkessa J. Walker
Dr. John Overholt has a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed his post-doctoral residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia and his fellowship in allergy, immunology and pulmonary medicine at Vanderbilt University. He has been in private practice since 2001, providing specialized allergic and asthmatic care to patients in Middle Tennessee. He currently sees adult and school-aged pediatric patients at the Franklin, West Nashville, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet and Clarksville locations.
Dr. Overholt is board certified in Allergy and Immunology. He is a member of the Nashville Academy of Medicine, the Tennessee Medical Association and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and is past President of the Tennessee Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Overholt enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, and being outdoors hunting, fishing and hiking. He is an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and the Nashville Predators. He attends St George's Episcopal Church in Nashville, where he is a Lay Eucharistic Minister.
