Dr. Kent Murphy completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the United States Air Force Academy. Following that he went to medical school at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, where he was class president. After a surgical internship he spent three years in Germany as an F-16 flight surgeon with more than 60 missions. He completed his residency in otolaryngology (ENT) at Indiana University Bloomington where he was chief resident. Dr. Murphy is board certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Murphy served in the Air Force for a full career of 25 years and retired as a full Colonel. During his service he was a malpractice consultant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force.
In his spare time Dr. Murphy enjoys skiing, woodworking and reading. He has two grown sons who live in Colorado.
